60 € and a foggy sunday at the fleamarket

Hi, it's me again!

Heute waren mein Schatz und ich am Flohmarkt. Hier unsere Schnäppchen:
Today my hubbie and me visited a fleamarket. Here's what we found:

1. Schnäppchen: ein Kästchen mit der Hlg. Familie. Wird vermutlich noch weiß lackiert.
1st bargain: A beautiful Holy Family in a wooden show case. I am planning to paint it white.

2. Schnäppchen: Ein Haussegen. Jetzt kann ja nicht's mehr schif gehen :D
2nd bargain: This beautiful house blessing. It says: 

Where's Faith, there's Love.

Where's Love, there's Peace.

Where's Peace, there's Mercy.

Where's Mercy, there's God.

Where's God, there's no Misery.

We liked it not only because it's so poetic and colorful, but in Austria we have a saying: "Da hängt der Haussegen schief." (= The house blessing is crooked. = They're having a domestic.) Now it's in our hands to keep it straight.

3. Schnäppchen: Diese kleine Etagere (nicht gemarkt), die wunderbar zu meiner Großen von Villeroy&Boch passt (zu sehen auf einem der nächsten Bilder)
3rd bargain: This small etagere (no name) matching my large one from Villeroy&Boch (you can see it in one of the next pictures).

 

4. Schnäppchen: Ein alter Winterling Kinderteller in super Zustand. 
4th bargain: A vtg children's plate (Winterling) with puss in boots, looks unused.

5. Schnäppchen: Diese kitschige handgemachte Madonna.
5th bargain: This kitschy Madonna (handmade)

Hier könnte ihr alle meine neuen (und einige alte) Schätze in meiner Nähecke im Kaminzimmer (Notiz an mich: Ich HASSE die Tapete. Muss erneuert oder ausgemalt werden.) sehen.

Der Buddha  ein Schnäppchen der letzten Woche. Er war um 75% herabgesetzt, da etwas abgeplatzt ist. Auf dem Preisschild stand: Buddha mit wehem Fuß. Und schon war's um mich geschehen. Aus Mitleid gekauft :)

Das Hinterglasbild mit dem blauen Rahemn hab ich mit 6 Jahren gemacht, drunter hängt mein erster Wackelzahn und ein Foto, dass ich auf unserer Hochzeitsreise geschossen hab. Neben meinem Meisterwerk ist ein Aquarell, das mein Papschi als Schulkind für seine Mam gemacht hat:  Zwergerl die sich vor ihrem Schwammerl-Haus unterhalten.

Das Sarah Kay Bild ist auch Hinterglas und ich habe es von meiner Mam bekommen zu Schulanfang.

Ganz hinten links in der Ecke guckt mein Freckle hervor, den ich auf etsy von AdoptAnAlien "gekauft" hab. Das nächste Bild zeigt ihn in seiner Ecke.

Here you can see all my new (and some old) treasures in my sewing corner in the fireside lounge (note:needs to be repapered or painted, I don't like the wallpaper). 
The Buddha was another bargain I made last week. He was sold -75% because he has a chip. On the label it said: Buddha mit wehem Fuß (Buddha with sore foot) and I felt pitiful and bought him.
The glass painting with the blue frame was made by the 6-year-old me, beneath it there is another frame with my first lost milk tooth and a picture I have taken on our honeymoon in Bavaria.
Right to the blue framed one there is a water colour my dad made for his mum, when he was a school boy. It shows two gnomes chatting in front of a mushroom house.
The Sarah Kay picture is a glass painting my mum made for me when I started school.
Next to the Holy Family you can see my cute little Freckle. I adopted him on etsy. He was made by AdoptAnAlien. The next picture shows him in his corner with some friends. 

6. und letztes Schnäppchen für heute: Ein alter Sesseö. Er braucht noch etwas Zuwendung, ist aber sooo bequem.
6th and last bargain for today: This old chair. It still needs some work, but it's very comfortable.

Übrigens: Eigentlich wollten wir eine Lampe kaufen :D
I forgot to tell you: We went to the fleamarket to find a lamp :D
